The Body Shop recently launched the “ Brush with Fashion” Collection and it is a collaboration with London College of Fashion. I had the pleasure to purchase the Limited Collection For Eyes Palette in 01 Boho Beauty. The palette contains 4 neutral shades of eye shadows, one mini brown eyeliner and a cruelty-free synthetic small eye shadow brush.
The 4 shades of eye color (2.4g or 0.08 oz per eyeshadow) are:
- 01 new nude = light nude shade with some shimmer
- 02 vintage apricot = a matte warm medium peach
- 03 boho brown = a matte medium latte brown
- 04 haute chocolate = a matte medium dark warm reddish brown
Eye definer khol liner (0.5 g or 0.02 oz) in 02 rich brown
Each eye shadow weights 2.4 g which is heavier than a MAC shadow (1.5g). From the looks of the product, 01 new nude has some shimmers while the 3 other shades looked completely matte. However when applied on to the lid, all 4 shades applied to be matte. The product is not extremely pigmented and gives a nice sheer matte finish, but the product is buildable and can be layered to achieve a neutral smoky result. The texture of the products is soft and creamy, which means powders will loosen up as you dip the brush into the product. Overall, they blend effortlessly and give a smooth soft finish.
This palette is much more affordable than department store brands. It costs 199 HKD which is only a little bit more than one MAC shadow. I will probably get another as backup.
