There has been quite a bit of reviews on YouTube on Lioele’s products, and today I finally jumped onto the Lioele bandwagon. As I was waiting for my girlfriend to arrive and I stopped by colormix, where I remembered spotting the Lioele BB creams in the shop a few months ago and my shopper-must-haul gene kicked in and had to go in and get it right there and then.
So....The HAUL:
- Lioele Water Drop BB Cream SPF 27 PA++ 50ml
- Lioele Triple Beyond Solution BB cream SPF30 pa++ (Sample size)
- Lioele Blooming Pop in Pinky Tint
- Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Raspberry (Sample size)
- Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray (Sample size)
- Shu Uemura White Recovery EX + Brightening Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula (50ml, Sample size)
(Side notes about the mini haul:
It seemed like a lot of items but damage to my wallet ain’t that bad at all. The sample size products ranged from a little under HK$ 20 to HK$ 40 per item. The cheapest one was Lioele Triple Beyond Solution BB cream sample at HK$ 18.The most expensive one was Shu Uemura White Recovery EX + Brightening Cleansing Oil sample at HK$ 45. Considering the quality of Shu Uemura’s Cleansing Oil and my pleasant past experience with its original formula, I think HK$45 was well worth it and was a total steal.)
When I got home, the first item I tested out was Lioele Water Drop BB Cream. Since I could not and still cannot read Korean, I cannot give you the official description written on the package. So here is the description on http://www.prettyandcute.com/:
“ Lioele Water Drop BB Cream
Size : 50ml
Water capture system provides increased hydration when compared to W/O Type BB Cream on the market and has a feel of soft moisturizing cream when applied. Water droplets form upon application, making skin feel cool and moist with a light wear allowing for no stickiness.
Contains various plant extracts to keep skin moist and healthy, Providing a natural color.
- Water Droplet Moisture Supply
- Provides natural Skin Glow, rather than by adding pearl
- Cool relief of Reddened Skin
- Simultaneous blocking of UVA and UVB”
Now my immediate review of the product:
Right out from the tube, it has a light cream like texture, and as I rubbed the product onto my skin, water droplets began to appear and it felt really light and has an almost watery like feeling without making the product runny.
Coverage-wise, it is definitely a light to light medium coverage BB cream and will work as an on-the-go product to even out skin tone and for covering very minor tiny imperfections.
The product gave my skin a matte finish and did not give any form of glow to my skin like the description provide from www.prettyandcute.com, which can be a plus for my combination skin in the hot summery weather. I will really need to test out the lasting power in a hot sunny day.
Overall, it is an ok product. I will continue to use it over this summer for an update product review.
One side note:
I know there are similar Water Drop BB Cream out there. Like L'egere Water Drop Shiny Pearl BB Cream, which I believe was the first one I saw in the market at where I live. I was really excited to try out L'egere Water Drop Shiny Pearl BB Cream when I spotted it in Watson's almost a year ago. However this thought quickly disappeared when I swatched it, it was darker than the usual BB Cream (almost a little muddy), as soon as the water drop disappeared and it became glittery after blending and the coverage was too sheer. Final verdict? I would NOT recommend it at all!
As for my next haul wish list:
- Lioele Cushion Touch Blusher
- Lioele Silky Highlighter BB Touch
- Lioele Blooming Pop in Orange Tint, Cherry Tint
